Young Alumni Night at the Diamond
Join Richmond R-MC Alumni as they cheer on the Richmond Braves when they take on the Charlotte Knights in their last season at the Diamond on Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 pm. Past Events
R-MC Orioles Game ~ Many R-MC Young Alumni joined R-MC Baltimore Alumni at the Baltimore Orioles Game on July 26th at Camden Yards. R-MC rented out a suite and over 70 alumni were in attendance.
1st Annual Virginia Colleges Alumni Event ~ R-MC, along with 10 other Virginia Colleges and Universities, held an event at Toads Place in Richmond on June 28th. The event included two bands, The Steve Carter Connextion, and the headliner, The Big Payback. Around 200 people attended and we look forward to having a similar event next year.
Baltimore Social ~ On Thursday, May 8th, over 25 Baltimore R-MC Young Alumni congregated at The Greene Turtle in Fells Point to enjoy good food and good company.
Steal the Glass Night ~ On Tuesday, April 22nd, R-MC Young Alumni stole a couple of glasses from the Downtown Capital Ale House. Young Alumni socialized with each other over appetizers and beverages and walked away with glasses from the restaurant as part of their happy hour specials.
Washington, D.C. Young Alumni Social ~ On Thursday, April 3rd, R-MC Young Alumni from the Washington, D.C. area gathered together at the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern for a social. The event was a success and we look forward to having more events in the D.C. area in the near future.
Richmond Real Estate Educational Event ~ On Wednesday, March 26th at Bottoms Up on Nuckols Road, four Randolph-Macon Alumni Real Estate experts shared their knowledge on the housing market with R-MC Young Alumni. The program consisted of a short talk by panelists Nate Smith '95, Andy Johnson '93, Graham Rashkind '96 and Kevin Currie '01 along with a question and answer session.
Richmond Renegades Game ~ On Friday, March 14th at the Richmond Coliseum, Randolph-Macon Young Alumni watched the Richmond Renegades take on the Knoxville Ice Bears. The Renegades lost in overtime, 3-2 but the Young Alumni had a wonderful night, including two of our own (Will Ariail '06 and Richie Oliver '07) performing in the first intermission show!
Randolph-Macon/Hampden-Sydney Pre-Game Party ~ On Friday, Jan. 18th at BlackFinn Restraunt, Young Alumni from R-MC and H-SC gathered to celebrate the first rivalry basketball game of the season, to be held in Farmville on Saturday, January 19th.
Randolph-Macon and Hampden-Sydney Mixer ~ On Thursday, Nov. 8th at BlackFinn Restaurant from 6:00-9:00pm, the R-MC Young Alumni Board co-hosted a social with the Richmond H-SC Alumni to gear up for the rivalry football game. The rival young alumni mingled over hor d'ourves and drinks while competing against each other to see who could raise the most money. Randolph-Macon came away victorious, raising over $200.On Wednesday, Oct. 24th, the Young Alumni Board sponsored a Personal Finance Educational Event at Bottoms Up on Nuckols Road from 6:30-8:30pm. Twenty young alumni joined panelists Kevin Seay '03, Ashly Adams '06, Ryan Andrew '02 and Buck Poropatich '05 to learn more about how to invest, save for retirement and other personal needs. Chip McNamara '98 and Michelle Orton '06 won books on Personal Finance.
On Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, about 30 Young Alumni joined over 600 members of the R-MC community for a celebration gala titled "A Toast to Randolph-Macon College". At this event, over $11 million in gifts was announced to the College, making it the largest one-time gift announcement in the history of Randolph-Macon.
The "Young Alumni Homecoming Reunion" was held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-9 pm at BlackFinn Restaurant. Over 60 Young Alumni attended the successful event.
R-MC Night at the Diamond a Success! The Young Alumni Board sponsored R-MC Night at the Diamond on Aug. 30. Over 50 young alumni joined us at the Diamond for baseball, beverages and bonding with fellow R-MC graduates!

Young Alumni Board and Goals- A volunteer group of alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years and who work with the R-MC Alumni office to coordinate events for young alumni and to organize volunteer efforts for current Yellow Jackets.

Volunteer Opportunities - Discover an assortment of ways you can give back to R-MC through the Young Alumni Association.

Career Services or Career Networking- R-MC's career counseling center continues providing service to alumni after graduation for career development, exploration and transitions.
Young Alumnus/a Achievement Award-- Honors alumni within 10 years of graduation who have demonstrated exemplary service or achievement in their chosen profession or community.
The Young Alumnus/a Service Award -- Honors alumni within 10 years of graduation who have demonstrated outstanding service to the college. Criteria: Nominee has provided service to the College through participation in Alumni Boards, Development fund drives, Career Center Programs and/or Admissions recruitment.
