DC Young Alumni Event
Over 30 Young Alumni from the Washington, DC area attended a social at La Tasca in Arlington on Thursday, Sept. 24th. Alumni enjoyed the chance to mingle with fellow Yellow-Jackets and classmates. Baltimore Young Alumni Event
On Wednesday, Sept. 30th, Baltimore R-MC Young Alumni gathered together to socialize at the Bay Cafe. All of the alumni were able to chit-chat with each other and meet new Yellow Jackets from the Baltimore area. Another social will take place in the coming months, so please think about attending. If you have any suggestions for future events, please email youngalumni@rmc.edu.

Homecoming Young Alumni Social
The Young Alumni had a blow-out of a Homecoming Social on Friday, Oct. 16th at Popkin Tavern in Richmond. The Yellow Jackets took over the entire venue, with about 300 peple in attendance. Alumni were able to shoot pool, relax in the lound area and enjoy a chance to see classmates they haven't seen since graduation.

Big Alum Kickoff Party
The Big Alum Program kicked off on Thursday, September 3rd with a social on campus the Big Alum and their Seniors. This year, more than 30 alumni have been paired up with seniors to help them network and answer questions about their senior year and the transition into life after Randolph-Macon. The Seniors and Alumni enjoyed some Smokey Pig BBQ and a gorgeous night on campus and both seniors and alumni look forward to getting to know each other throughout the school year.

Senior Welcome
The Young Alumni Board hosted the second annual Senior Welcome for the Class of 2010 in the Brock Center on Wednesday, September 9th with 115 seniors in attendance. The Seniors mingled with young alumni while enjoying beverages and some tasty BBQ. A short program during the middle of the event included Barclay DuPriest from the R-MC Bookstore, Sarah Burgess & Cathy Rollman from the Career Center, Molly Field ’04 as the Young Alumni Board Chair, Bethany Floyd ’10 as the Senior Class President and Jamie Shifrin & Lee Morck ’10 as Senior Class Gift Chairs who spoke about why they are important in the life of a senior.

Young Alumni Board and Goals- A volunteer group of alumni who have graduated in the past 10 years and who work with the R-MC Alumni office to coordinate events for young alumni and to organize volunteer efforts for current Yellow Jackets.
Online Community- Information about R-MC including news, events, and fellow alumni.
Volunteer Opportunities - Discover an assortment of ways you can give back to R-MC through the Young Alumni Association.
Events for Young Alumni - Future Networking Happy Hours, social events, educational seminars and volunteer events.
Career Services or Career Networking- R-MC's career counseling center continues providing service to alumni after graduation for career development, exploration and transitions.
Young Alumnus/a Achievement Award-- Honors alumni within 10 years of graduation who have demonstrated exemplary service or achievement in their chosen profession or community.
The Young Alumnus/a Service Award -- Honors alumni within 10 years of graduation who have demonstrated outstanding service to the college. Criteria: Nominee has provided service to the College through participation in Alumni Boards, Development fund drives, Career Center Programs and/or Admissions recruitment.
