Semester Abroad

Ready for a challenge?

Curious about experiencing the world through study abroad?

You've come to the right place!

It's never too early to get informed about your study abroad options! We encourage every R-MC student to explore all the wonderful opportunities available to them. No matter what your major, language abilities, or financial situation, with over 200 programs to choose from, there is an option to meet just about everyone's needs.

To get started, review our semester abroad Frequently Asked Questions and Application Information. Then visit R-MC StudioAbroad in order to:

  1. Search for semester and year-long study abroad programs
  2. Create a personal profile. This allows you to save the programs that interest you most.
  3. Begin the application process through your profile

Semester abroad information sessions are held in the first weeks of each semester, but you are welcome to explore programs, create a profile, or meet with the Study Abroad Advisor at any time!

Applications for spring 2018 are due to the OIE in May 2017; advising appointments and requests for recommendation should be made before exams begin! Keep in mind that faculty may not be readily available during vacation periods. Whether you definitely plan to apply or just want to explore the idea, start by reading all about semester abroad on this website. Visit StudioAbroad to create a profile, and plan to attend a study abroad info session to meet OIE staff and students who have already been abroad (see announcements for dates & times). Starting early makes the process less hectic for everyone, especially you!

If you have missed a deadline but are still interested, contact the Study Abroad Advisor at TammiReichel@rmc.edu to see if a late application is possible.
