What is the Online C
ommunity?
The Online Community is a communication tool that uses the internet to provide a number of features. It is available for alumni and friends of the Randolph-Macon College community.
What features are available online?
News, Events, Donations, Member Search and Directory, Classnotes, Photo Albums, Career Networking
What does each feature offer me?
News - Read the latest alumni newsworthy headlines from Randolph-Macon College. Read it here. Read it first!
Events - View, register and pay for events online. (This site is secured.)
Donations - Make your contribution to R-MC online. It's an easy way to support your alma mater and the current students attending our fine institution.
Member Search and Directory - Search for classmates and/or friends with search criteria like: First Name, Last Name, Graduation Year, Major, Minor, etc.
Classnotes - Submit a Classnote about an event or achievement in your life. (With your consent, Classnotes will appear in the Alumni and Friends magazine.)
Photo Albums - Download and display photos with your own online photo album.
Who is able to become a registered user and view my selected personal information?
Only alumni, students, faculty, staff and parents are invited to join the Online Community.
How do I log in for the first time?
Visit www.rmcalumni.com. Click on "First Time Login" in the upper left hand corner on the screen. Enter your last name. Click Find. The Account Lookup page will display every member of the Online Community with the last name entered. Please select the appropriate Last Name. Click Next. Please contact the Alumni Office for your ID number with the information below. Enter your ID number. Click Verify.

Faculty/Staff Users - Please contact the Alumni Office by email alumni_office@rmc.edu or phone (804) 752-7221 for your ID number.
" What should I do after logging in the first time?
You will be automatically prompted to enter your current information. Please be sure to enter data in required fields, which are marked with a red asterisk. (*)
Update your user name to a frequently used email address and enter and confirm a password that is easy to remember.
How do I log in for future sessions?
Visit www.rmcalumni.com. Click on "Login" in the upper left hand corner on the screen. Enter the User Name and Password you selected after logging into the Online Community for the first time.
Why should I make my information viewable?
Please note the check boxes to the right of the text boxes on the Profile page. Placing a check in a box allows you to make your information viewable to other registered users. When your information is viewable, other registered users will be able to search for you based on the provided information.
Note: When you make your professional information viewable, you provide a great way to help our students and alumni for career-networking purposes.
How do I make a gift online?
Registered Users are able to make a gift to the College through the Online Community. After logging in to the Online Community, click Donations on the left side navigation panel. Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage, and click the Donate to this Campaign button. Please refer to steps 3-12 in the following Frequently Asked Question in order to make a gift.
What if I am not a Registered User, can I still donate online?
Yes, you can! Please follow the steps below:
1. Visit www.rmcalumni.com/supportr-mc.
2. Scroll down to the Donate button in the bottom left hand corner. Click on the Donate button.
3. Enter the Amount of your gift.
4. Please designate your contribution amount among the available options -- The Randolph-Macon Annual Fund (The College's greatest need), Reunion Gift, The Yellow Jacket Club, and/or Other (Please specify in Donation Details).
5. You have the option to make Scheduled Payments. You can choose to make a one-time payment of the entire amount, or you can pay your donation in Monthly, Quarterly, or Semi-annual installments. (Choosing the installment payment option will charge your credit or debit card automatically at the frequency you specify over a one-year period.)
Please remember: R-MC runs on a fiscal year (July 1st - June 30th) and only the amount paid to the College as of June 30th will be recognized in the annual Honor Roll. This may affect your giving club level. Please contact the Office of Annual Giving at
(804) 752-7375 with questions or concerns.
6. Enter any Donation details if necessary. If you selected Other in step 4, please indicate if the gift is a memorial or tribute gift. If it is a Reunion gift, please specify project and class year.
7. If your employer has a Matching Gift policy, please enter the required information.
8. Please review the Donation Information section of the form. This section contains the donation level and the total amount of your gift.
9. Enter your Billing address information as required by the form.
10. Enter your credit card information as required by the form.
11. Please review your information to ensure that it is correct.
12. Hit the submit button ONE TIME only.
13. You should receive an email confirmation of your gift containing all relevant information.

Should I worry about entering my credit card information online in order to donate or pay for events?
No, you should not worry. Security remains the primary concern of on-line consumers. The VeriSign Secure Site Program, provided through the Online Community, allows you to submit confidential information with security. You may submit sensitive data (e.g., credit card numbers) to www.rmcalumni.com with the assurance that:
o This site has a VeriSign Secure Server ID.
o VeriSign has verified the organizational name and that IMODULES SOFTWARE INC has the proof of right to use it.
o This site legitimately runs under the auspices of IMODULES SOFTWARE INC.
o All information sent to this site, if in an SSL session, is encrypted, protecting against disclosure to third parties.
