The Big Event- Residents

The Big Event is on November 20, 2016

The Big Event gives students a way to give back to the Ashland community and show appreciation to residents and organizations of the Town of Ashland by completing volunteer projects. Examples of projects include general yard work, painting, mulching, washing windows, cleaning, and minor repairs of general residences, churches, and other community locations. Projects should last no longer than 4 hours and must not involve power tools. If needed, some tools and supplies can be provided by The Big Event and SERVE Program.

  • Makes sure that we have an accurate number of volunteers assigned to the job
  • It allows us to answer any questions that you may have, in person.

If I request a project, is there a guarantee that it will be completed?

While we aim to complete 100% of the projects that are requested, we cannot guarantee that your job will be completed. Many factors are taken into consideration: number of volunteers, supplies needed, job feasibility.  The job check will allow for us to determine these variables.

What time should I expect the students to show up on November 7?

Between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM. It depends on how far away your job is from campus, and if the volunteers need to go to tool distribution. Check-in will begin at 12:30 PM
