Office of the Chaplain

The mission of the Office of the Chaplain is to support students in their search for meaning and purpose in the context of a fuller understanding of God, themselves, their fellow human beings, the world and their place in it through programs of religious life, service learning and social justice.

  • College Chapel is a weekly Christian worship opportunity on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. in the Duncan Memorial Church Sanctuary. Led by Chaplain Kendra Grimes, Rev. Joshua McCauley of Duncan Memorial, and a team of student leaders/musicians, chapel is a place to join with other students for an hour of inspiration, challenge, and spiritual growth.
  • Religious Life student groups join together in the R-MC Campus Ministry Council.  Each group has a student and a faculty/staff representative.  Together this interfaith group plans campus-wide worship, learning, and service opportunities.
  • The Pre-Ministerial Student Group meets on Monday nights and is open to Bailey Scholars, students with the Pre-Ministerial Grant, and any student who is exploring a call to Christian ministry.  For more information, contact the Chaplain.
  • The Chaplain is available for pastoral care. Call (x. 7374) or email (kendragrimes@rmc.edu) to set up an appointment or drop by the Office of the Chaplain in the Student Engagement Center.
  • If you are looking for an off-campus faith community to attend while living at R-MC please contact our office.  We will strive to help you identify a community that is a good fit for you.
  • Interested in a leadership role that will help you gain experience and build your resume'?  Check out the Student Leader in Spiritual Life (SL2) oppoortunity.
